Sawgrass Pediatrics, pediatricians serving Coconut Creek

Are you new parents in Coconut Creek or new to the Coconut Creek area and looking for a skilled and caring group of pediatricians? Our dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring pediatricians are all board-certified and Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Waters, Dr. Miller, Dr. Martell, Dr. Di Liddo, Dr. Shulman, Dr. Mussary, and Dr. Cadiz strive to provide the highest possible quality diagnostic and preventative treatment services available for infants, children, and adolescents. Our mission is to answer questions and provide support to parents during the challenges posed throughout each stage of a child’s life, and we have been treating infants, toddlers, and adolescents in the Coconut Creek area for years. We are located just minutes from Coconut Creek.

The pediatricians at Sawgrass Pediatrics are here to address the questions and concerns of each parent. Parents frequently ask pediatricians how they can keep their children healthy. While there is no single correct answer for this question, there are strategies for maximizing your entire family’s health status. A balance of wholesome nutrition, physical activity, and proper rest contribute to good health. Another critical component of good health is proper immunization. Thanks to current day immunizations, diseases that once threatened the lives and wellbeing of infants, children, and adolescents, are now rare in the U.S. These include diseases like Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, Measles, Polio, and Meningococcemia, among others. Other diseases, such as Influenza, or ‘Flu’, while not completely preventable by vaccination, often have a shorter, less severe course when a vaccine is given either in the nose or as an injection. The pediatrician will be happy to discuss all vaccines at your child’s appointment.

The pediatricians at Sawgrass Pediatrics encourage parents to schedule routine check-ups or physicals. For infants, these may be as frequent as every two months. For older children, a once-a-year, full physical examination from one of the pediatricians at Sawgrass Pediatrics is often enough. Check-ups allow us to track your child’s physical, emotional, and educational growth. We are also set up to perform circumcisions in the office for infants less than 6 weeks of age. If you have a newborn who did not get circumcised in the hospital, and you now desire for him to be circumcised, please let us know as soon as possible. If you are new to the Coconut Creek area or if it has been more than a year since your child’s last well visit, take this opportunity to schedule an appointment with one of our pediatricians today.
